Piero Umiliani's Aragosta A Colazione
19-Jul-2010 - Kronos Records has released the score for Aragosta A Colazione. The story: Marco is married to Carla, a rich businesswoman. She's off to Geneva for two days; he has a tryst with Monique, a Swedish air hostess. Carla's flight is canceled, so she heads home about to catch Mario en flagrant. Mario's salvation is Enrico, an old school mate and hapless salesman who shows up to beg Mario to buy toilets so he won't lose his job. Mario signs an order in exchange for Enrico's posing as Monique's husband. Carla invites them to stay overnight and join a business dinner party catered by Enrico's wife, Matilde. Can this farce end happily? Piero Umiliani wrote a beautiful, classy, jazz swing score that was previously released only as a limited edition LP (200 copies) in 1979 and never sold commercially! First time ever on CD.

Christian & Joe Henson's Malice In Wonderland
18-Jul-2010 - MovieScore Media has released Malice In Wonderland. The music that surrounds Alice in Simon Fellows’ modern day setting of the Lewis Caroll fantasy classic is a totally unique mix of beautiful fairytale themes in waltz meter, dark and noir-ish melodies for electric guitars, cimbalom, trumpet and saxophone, infectious banjo riffs, playful Hammond organ tunes, catchy jingles, indie rock, sentimental piano music and steamy club music. Brothers Christian and Joe Henson draw inspiration from their big collection of odd instruments when they created the score for the film, resulting in an truly unusual and exciting mix of musical styles, perfect for the dreamy and sometimes nightmarish setting of the film. As a listening experience on its own, Malice in Wonderland is both interesting and entertaining – listeners will have a smile on their lips throughout the whole album, which also features two songs, “Where Are You?” performed by Betty Steeles and the wacked-out “Titty Song” featuring Bobby Chitlin.

Macy, plus the voices of Kiefer Sutherland, George Lopez, Fergie, Emma Stone, Damon Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Christopher Mintz-Plasse. New from La-La Land Records
18-Jun-2010 - La-La Land Records, with Sony Music and 20th Century Fox, presents the remastered and expanded release of Jerry Goldsmith’s powerful orchestral score to The Edge, starring Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin and Bart The Bear, directed by Lee Tamahori. Considered by many to be one of Mr. Goldsmith’s last great scores, his music to The Edge is at once thrilling, thoughtful and breathtakingly beautiful – managing to not only convey the film’s majestic backdrop, but also it’s complex struggles of Man vs. Beast, Man vs. Nature and Man vs. Man. This expanded CD features more than 65 minutes of pure Goldsmith, including bonus tracks. The CD booklet contains exclusive liner notes by Jeff Bond.
La-La Land Records also presents the premiere release of Mark Mancina’s powerhouse score to Speed 2, starring Sandra Bullock, Jason Patric and Willem Dafoe, directed by Jan De Bont. Orchestra and electronics combine in spectacular Mancina fashion, resulting in a full-throttle score that skillfully revisits the composer’s classic Speed music, while also spinning off from it in exhilarating new directions. This dynamic album presentation includes a notable amount of music that wasn’t used in the film (due to the picture’s ever-changing edits right up to its release date). More than 70 minutes of pure adrenaline! Exclusive, in-depth liner notes by Daniel Schweiger feature new comments from the composer.
